Accessibility

I believe therapy should feel welcoming long before we meet.

Everyone experiences the world differently, and there is no single "right" way to access support. Whether you're living with a disability, managing a long-term health condition, are neurodivergent, experiencing anxiety, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I want to do my best to make working together as comfortable and accessible as possible.

If there's something that would help you engage with therapy or with this website, please let me know. Wherever I reasonably can, I'll work with you to find an approach that feels supportive.

This website

I want this website to be straightforward, calm and easy to use.

If you experience any difficulties accessing the information here, or if you'd prefer information in a different format, please get in touch. I'll always do my best to help.

Working together

No two people are the same, which means therapy doesn't need to look the same for everyone.

Depending on your needs, we may be able to discuss adjustments such as:

  • allowing extra time to settle into sessions
  • offering online or in-person appointments where available
  • taking breaks during longer sessions
  • adapting the pace of our work
  • providing written information where helpful
  • thinking together about sensory needs within the therapy space
  • being clear about what to expect before we meet

If you're unsure whether something would be possible, you're very welcome to ask. We can explore it together.

A shared conversation

Accessibility isn't about having all the answers in advance. It's about being willing to listen, stay curious and make thoughtful adjustments where possible.

If something isn't working for you, I hope you'll feel able to tell me. We'll see what we can do together.

Contact

If you have any questions about accessibility, or would like to discuss any adjustments before arranging an appointment, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
