An evening inspired by the work of Rosie Lowry – author and dog advocate.

Dogs have been some of my greatest teachers.

Over the years they've taught me about trust, boundaries, attachment, grief, presence and the many ways we communicate without words. They've also quietly changed the way I think about people.

Back in 2013, I had the privilege of working alongside Rosie Lowry to help write Hagrid – The Tale of a Big Dog. It was through Rosie that I first began to see dogs differently—not as animals whose behaviour needed controlling, but as individuals constantly communicating with us in ways we often overlook. That perspective has shaped every relationship I've had with my own dogs since, including Jackson, whose loss continues to influence both my personal life and my work, and Marla, who teaches me something new almost every day.

I'm delighted to be joining Rosie and Body Psychotherapist Hayley Stevens to co-facilitate Walking in Their Paws, Seeing Through Their Eyes, an experiential evening exploring the world through a dog-centred lens.

Together we'll consider communication, consent, boundaries and behaviour, inviting you to slow down and become curious about how dogs experience the human world around them. Through gentle discussion and reflection, we'll explore what they might be trying to tell us—and what they can teach us in return.

Whether you share your life with a dog, have loved and lost one, work with animals, or are simply curious about deepening your understanding of another species, we'd love to welcome you.
